AFTE Communication and Information Committee


The responsibilities and goals of this committee are:

  1. Determine the practicality of the Association gathering and disseminating timely and accurate information regarding issues that are pertinent to the Association, the forensic community as a whole and to the public through various print and broadcast media. It is intended that this information will be distributed to the public through news releases, press conferences and special events.
  2. If practical establish the policies, methods and operating models to accomplish this task.
  3. If practical, undertake the task of disseminating this information.

The Association is dedicated and committed to our stated purpose of improving and elevating the quality, integrity, and public image of the scientific crime laboratories. To further this goal it is essential that the public, the law enforcement community and policy makers are provided accurate, complete and timely information as well as being made aware of our activities, our services and our presence.
