ADHOC COMMITTEE TO INVESTIGATE THE FEASIBILITY OF AN ASSOCIATION WIDE ELECTRONIC RECORD/APPLICATION SYSTEM


Effective date of formation: December 4, 2004

COMMITTEE OBJECTIVE: To investigate the feasibility of electronic record storage/flow and membership submission/filing system.

COMMITTEE GOAL: To answer the following primary questions and provide the AFTE BOD a suggested course of action.

  1. Is the concept of an electronic record storage/flow and membership submission/filing system necessary?

  2. Is the concept feasible within the scope of present membership/record keeping flow?

  3. Will the membership benefit to justify the effort/expense?

  4. If the answer to 1, 2 and 3 is affirmative, is the concept able to be accomplished with member expertise or should an outside vender be contracted?

  5. If it is suggested an outside vendor be contracted is it financially feasible?

  6. To what extent should the system be incorporated? (Membership Secretary’s file storage/online Application filing, Secretary’s record keeping, Treasurer’s financial records, Association Committee record keeping)
