Welcome to the AFTE 2013 Friends & Family Information Page! Below you will
find information regarding the activities we have planned for the week of the
seminar.
All of
the activities that we have planned are low in cost. Prices will be added
closer to the actual conference.

Sandia Peak Tramway
Experience a breathtaking trip on the Sandia Peak
Aerial Tramway. You will be transported above deep canyons and
beautiful terrain over a distance of 2.7 miles. Your final
destination atop the 10,378 foot Sandia Peak in the Cibola National
Forest provides an 11,000 square-mile panoramic view of the Rio
Grande Valley and the Land of Enchantment. The tramway is located
on the eastern edge of Albuquerque in the Sandia Foothills.

ABQ Uptown Mall
Following the ride on the Sandia Peak Tramway, you
will have the option of either heading back to the hotel or enjoying
an afternoon of shopping and eating at ABQ Uptown, an outdoor mall
consisting of approximately
220,000 square feet of retail shops, restaurants, and
a day spa.

Albuquerque Biopark
Explore the Albuquerque Biopark,
which consists of the Zoo, Aquarium and Botanical Gardens. You will
have the option of spending either the whole day at the Biopark, or
a half day.

Old Town Albuquerque/Museums
Visit
Old Town Albuquerque, the
heart of the city, founded in 1706. Ten blocks of historic adobe
buildings surround the Plaza. Enjoy shopping, dining, art
galleries, and a guided tour, if you wish. Here is also located
the San Felipe de Neri Church, the
oldest building in the city, which was built in 1793.
You may also explore several
museums that are within walking distance of the Plaza:

Children’s Museum
