You may head back to Albuquerque on the Rail Runner at your
convenience. The train departs from the Santa Fe Depot train
station on S. Guadalupe St. behind Tomasita’s Restaurant. The
train schedule is available
here (make sure to look at the South Bound table). Fares can
be found
here (price should be $9 unless you qualify for a discount).
Tickets may be purchased online ahead of time or from a ticket agent
once you are on the train. Buying a ticket online does not guarantee a
seat. It is first come, first serve.
The last train back leaves the Santa Fe Depot at
9:00PM and drops you off at the Downtown Albuquerque train station
(Alvarado Transportation Center located at 1st St. And Central Ave.).
It is about a 20 to 25 minute walk (depending on crowds) from the Santa
Fe plaza to the Santa Fe Depot train station. You may also take
the Santa Fe Pick-Up free shuttle to the Santa Fe Depot station. This is
a continuous circulating shuttle that picks up or drops off at each
designated stop approximately every 15 to 20 minutes, depending upon
traffic conditions. It only runs until 6pm. Further details can be found
here.
Be sure to leave yourself enough
time to catch the train. You are responsible for getting back to
Albuquerque. There will be NO shuttle service! |
