AFTE Treasurer Jamie Becker has
informed the AFTE Board of Directors that she will not be
seeking a second term as treasurer when her present 3-year
term expires in 2005.
AFTE Bylaws mandate the election of a
Treasurer-Elect to serve a 1-year term prior to assuming the
role of AFTE Treasurer. To facilitate a smooth
transition the treasurer-elect will need to be elected by
the members at the 2004 Business Meeting to be held in
Vancouver.
Just to be clear, the Treasurer-Elect
serves a 1-year term and then will serve a 3-year term as
Treasurer.
If you are a regular voting
member of AFTE and would like to be the next AFTE Treasurer,
or if you know of a member who would make a good candidate,
nominations are now being accepted for the position of
Treasurer-Elect.
